  • Virtual Workshop: 11 a.m. ET on March 1 and 10 a.m. ET on March 2—Join the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities for a two-day virtual workshop titled “Health Disparities Among Sexual and Gender Minorities (SGM).” More information, including the agenda and list of speakers, is available on the workshop website

  • Summer Workshop: 10 a.m. on June 5 to 7—The ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research is a three-day, in-person workshop in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where participants will get an introduction to the College and Beyond II (CBII) study at ICPSR. Applications are due by March 1.
  • To apply, complete the Google form and upload the required documents, register for the course waitlist in the ICPSR registration portal and apply for access to CBII data in the ICPSR Virtual Data Enclave (VDE)
  • Registration is free for accepted participants, who will also receive a travel stipend, lodging and a one-year Virtual Data Enclave user license

  • Summer Conference: June 12 and 13—Join Accelerating Systemic Change Network and the Network of STEM Education Centers for the 2023 Transforming Institutions Conference. The theme of two-day, in-person event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is “Thriving with Change,” and will focus on theory and practice of systemic change in STEM higher education. Presentation proposals are due March 8. More information is available on the conference website.

  • Request for Information (RFI)—The NIH Office of Extramural Research is seeking public input on a proposed revised framework for evaluating and scoring peer review criteria for NIH research grant applications. For more information or to submit comments, go to the RFI webpage. Comments are due by March 10. 

  • Virtual Workshop: 11 a.m. ET on March 30 and 31—Join the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities for a two-day virtual workshop titled “Inclusive Participation in Clinical Research.” More information, including the agenda, is available on the workshop website.  

  • Webinar: 2 p.m. ET on March 30—The NIH Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity’s seminar series continues with “Outcomes from NASEM’s Advancing Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in STEMM Organizations Report.” Register for the event here.
